On Monday I got an iPhone.  It is far better than my Blackberry for many important reasons, but the most fun way I've been using it is to waste time, specifically with the Instagram app.  I love giving pictures a vintage feel!   Here are a few that I've taken over the past few days (note there are none of Eli - he is in an anti-picture taking phase right now).

Here's a picture with Eli just so he doesn't feel left out:

this is last week when the weather got crazy and acted like it was mid-november / the reason for the warm clothes

And one more thing, a quick video of Finn, watching his "friends" as we call them on the bouncy seat.  Nothing of earth-shattering excitement, just thought y'all would like to see how our little guy is starting to interact, make noises and move his little body (or as Eli would say, move his little booty).

That's it for now.  Our house is about to get busy here shortly...literally, within the next hour, as it's Kevin's annual Pig Pickin' weekend for his fraternity and we'll have some of his college buddies here over the next two days helping him make 80 pounds of BBQ for the event.  Gotta go!

Lately...

We've had a lot of action in our house over the past 9 weeks (can't believe 9 weeks have gone by already!).  Finn continues to grow and grow, which was confirmed this morning at his two month old check up, and Eli continues to be a sweet, energetic and sometimes a bit rough big brother.  Our biggest challenge over the past two months really hasn't been adjusting to life with a newborn again, on the contrary Finn is easy.  Our challenge has been occupying an almost three year old little boy that has more energy and life than what we could ever imagine.  We literally spend every minute of our free time at home trying to figure out how to wear out Eli!  We are thankful, though, that he has such a spunky personality and we're pretty sure that as he continues to get older he will continue to be the life of the party [a good and bad thing...  :)].

Yes, Finn is a big boy!  Makes sense since he was over 9 and a half pounds when he was born.  He had his 2 month old check up today and he continues to grow and grow and grow.  He weighs 14 lbs. 6 oz. (96th percentile) and is 24.5 inches long (98th percentile).  He's a happy little guy and has started smiling and cooing when we talk to him.  He sleeps at night from about 10 until between 4 and 5, then gets up to eat again and sleeps for a few more hours.  He's definitely not a morning person...this might have to change though because everyone else in our house is, including the dog.

Our boys are the story of our life right now.  Kevin and I are starting to wonder if we'll ever enjoy a quiet and peaceful dinner again, if we'll ever sleep through the night without interruption, or if our house will ever be straightened up without cars, trucks and Mr. Potato Head pieces everywhere.  Maybe one day.....

But until then, we have these two cute guys that give us so much excitement that we sleep really well at night (when we're not woken up by one of them).  :-)
